You are the secretary of My mercy

Our Lord Speaks:

“Your task is to write down everything that I make known to you about my mercy. For the benefit of those who by reading these things will be comforted in their souls and will have the courage to approach Me. I, therefore want you to devote all your free moments to writing.” (Diary 1693) “...You are the secretary of My mercy. I have chosen you for that office in this life and the next life” (Diary 1605) “...In the old covenant I sent prophets wielding thunderbolts to my people. Today I am sending you with My mercy to the people of the whole world. I do not want to punish aching mankind but I desire to heal it pressing it to My merciful heart...” (Diary 1588) “...I demand that you devote all your free moments to writing about My goodness and mercy. It is your office and your assignment throughout your life to continue to make known to souls the great mercy I have for them and to exhort them to trust in My bottomless mercy” (Diary 1567) “My daughter; tell souls that I am giving them My mercy as a defense. I, Myself, am fighting for them and am bearing the just anger of My Father.” (Diary 1516)

Although Saint Faustina’s mission was to be a nun and to be obedient to her superiors, Our Lord also called her to a special mission: she was to be His apostle of Divine Mercy, to spread His mercy to the whole world by her example, suffering, obedience, and recording everything in a diary.

In 1934, Saint Faustina was told by her confessor, Fr. Sopocko, to write everything in a diary of her interior experiences with Jesus. Fr Sopocko did not have the time to listen to these lengthy confessions of Saint Faustina.

In addition to her confessor asking her to write everything down, many places in the diary she is commanded by Jesus to write.

Our Lord Speaks:

“...My daughter, you do not live for yourself but for souls. Write for their benefit (Diary 895) “...Your task is to write down everything that I make known to you about My mercy...”(Diary 895)

This Diary has reached most corners of the earth

Not only is it in the original Polish language but also English, Spanish, French, Portuguese, Russian, Italian and German. Yes, His mercy will be known throughout the world. She not only obeyed Jesus by writing the diary, she also directed the painting of the Divine Mercy Jesus image. She made known the Chaplet of Mercy. She encouraged those who were able to work for the establishment of the Feast of Mercy.

Saint Faustina’s vision of a new congregation included everyone in the world. No vows needed just prayer and works of mercy. As a member of this congregation make a special effort to tell everyone about this wonderful diary.

It seems important at this point to say something about the Diary itself. This Diary has been reexamined and approved by the Congregation of the Doctrine of the Faith on APRIL 15, 1978. This approval by this Sacred Congregation amazed me. Why? Because it means the Congregation has read and approved the Diary; even though the diary mentions many times that Saint Faustina through her writings is preparing the world for His second coming.

Our Lord Speaks:

“...Be at peace, My daughter. This work of mercy is Mine; there is nothing of you in it. It pleases Me that you are carrying out faithfully what I have commanded you to do, not adding or taking away a single word...” (Diary 1667) “My daughter, you do not live for yourself but for souls; write for their benefit. You know that My will as to your writing has been confirmed many times by your confessors. You know what is pleasing to me...” (Diary #895)

God also gave us this book as a manual on becoming a saint. As Jesus said to St. Faustina:

Our Lord Speaks:

“Know this, My daughter: if you strive for perfection you will sanctify many souls; and if you do not strive for sanctity, by the same token, many souls will remain imperfect. Know that their perfection will depend on your perfection, and the greater part of the responsibility for these souls will fall on you.” (Diary, 1165)

Our Lord desires everyone to know about his mercy before He comes as the just judge. He wants souls to know Him first as the King of Mercy…When will this happen? I do not know. How long will it last? I do not know. But God has promised great graces to those who proclaim His mercy.

Our Lord Speaks:

“Who will proclaim My great mercy. I shall protect them Myself at the hour of death as My own glory. And even if the sins of the soul are as dark as night, when the sinner turns to My mercy he gives Me the greatest praise and is the glory of My Passion. When a soul praises my Goodness, Satan trembles before it and flees to the very bottom of hell.” (Diary #378)

The last hope for salvation

Our Lord Speaks:

“...I desire that My mercy be worshiped, and I am giving mankind the last hope of salvation: that is, recourse to My mercy...”(Diary #965, 998)
